Mark J. Suryan, P.E.

President

Mr. Suryan is a mechanical engineer with expertise in machinery. He makes use of his graduate level training with a broad industrial background in order to apply analytical techniques to problem solving. He concentrates on design issues as they are linked with process control, material performance, and end item use. His lifelong interest in internal combustion engines has been a catalyst for becoming familiar with all sorts of heavy machinery. Mr. Suryan routinely handles machine problems such as vibration, impact, stress & strain, fatigue, and material selection. He has direct experience with virtually all types of materials including metal alloys, elastomers, glass, wood, concrete, and engineering plastics.

Mr. Suryan has provided live expert witness testimony as a registered Professional Engineer on numerous occasions. He has participated in depositions, arbitrations, and full jury trials. He has served as an expert for both users of products and manufacturers of products. Mr. Suryan’s experience as both a manager and a university instructor allows him to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals. His experience as a corporate president is valuable in understanding the business aspects of important engineering decisions.
